Frequently asked questions
Which devices does MyLife run on?
On iPhone with iOS 26 or later, in English and German. On iPad, MyLife runs as an iPhone app.
How does MyLife sync between my devices?
Through iCloud, automatically – sign in with the same Apple Account on your devices and make sure iCloud is turned on for MyLife (Settings app → your name → iCloud). Without iCloud, MyLife keeps everything on the device.
How do I back up my data?
In MyLife, open Settings → Backup. Automatic backups go into the MyLife folder of your iCloud Drive (hourly, daily, weekly or monthly), “Back up now” makes one right away, and “Export” saves a file wherever you like. Backups can be protected with a password.
How do I restore a backup?
Settings → Backup → pick a backup and restore it – or open a .mylifebackup file with MyLife. On a new device, choose “Restore from a backup” in the first screen. A backup with a password asks for it.
I forgot the password of a backup.
Then the backup can't be opened – the password is never stored anywhere, not even by us. Make a new backup (with a new password) as long as your data is still in MyLife.
How does sharing work?
Open a person under People and invite them: MyLife makes a link that you send yourself – it works for 15 minutes and can have a password. The other person needs MyLife and iCloud. You decide for each person whether they can view or edit, and you can stop sharing at any time.
What's in MyLife Pro?
The world map of your life, accent colors, ten more fonts, seven extra app icons, the PDF report of your life and all future Pro features – as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time purchase. Everything else, including sync, backups and sharing, is free.
How do I restore or cancel a purchase?
Restore: open MyLife Pro in Settings and tap “Restore purchases”. Cancel a subscription: Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → MyLife, at least 24 hours before it renews.
How do I delete my data?
Settings → Privacy → Delete all data removes everything from the device and from iCloud. Deleting the app removes what is stored on the device.
